While we carefully select every hide, buckle, and edge tool that leaves our workshop, we understand that sometimes an exchange or return may be necessary. This policy reflects our commitment to serving the leatherworking community with the same integrity we apply to our products.

Our Return Commitment

We stand behind our Horween leather selections and precision hardware with a 15-day return policy from the date of delivery. Your satisfaction matters as much as the quality of our Chicago screws and Harris gauges.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for return or exchange:

  • Item must be unused and in original condition
  • Original packaging must be intact (especially important for measuring tools and machines)
  • Proof of purchase required

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of these specialty products, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Leather Scrap (custom-cut pieces)
  • Low Grade Pieces (sold as-is)
  • Leather Care Products (dye, glue, paint – for hygiene reasons)
  • Leather Wet Molds (custom-shaped items)
  • Digital Kits & Patterns (once downloaded)

Return Process

Follow these steps to initiate your return or exchange:

  1. Contact Us within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number
  2. Wait for Authorization – Our team will respond within 2 business days with return instructions
  3. Package Securely – Use original packaging when possible, especially for delicate hardware and edge tools
  4. Ship to Address Provided – We recommend using a trackable shipping service

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. For international returns, please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs fees.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Timing: Refunds process within 5 business days of receipt
  • Method: Funds will be returned to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Notification: You’ll receive an email confirmation when processed

Note: Shipping fees are non-refundable, except in cases of our error.

Exchange Process

For exchanges (subject to availability):

  1. Follow the standard return process above
  2. Clearly state the desired replacement item (buckles, chains, cork fabric, etc.)
  3. We’ll ship the new item once we receive your return

For expedited exchanges, we can ship the replacement immediately with a credit card hold for the new item’s value.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive damaged goods or incorrect items (wrong tannery selection, wrong hardware size, etc.):

  • Contact us within 3 business days of delivery
  • Include photos of the damage or incorrect item
  • We’ll arrange a prepaid return label if needed
